The Ono Men's Club recently donated $2,000 to the Christian Service Center (CSC), continuing its decade-long tradition of supporting local charities in South Baldwin County.
The club, made up of about 100 residents from Ono Island, regularly hosts fundraising events to generate donations for organizations that serve the community.
The Christian Service Center, based in Gulf Shores, operates as a "hand up" rather than a "hand out" agency. It provides emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis while offering guidance on long-term solutions. The center is entirely volunteer-run and funded by local churches, community organizations, including the United Way of Baldwin County, and individual donors.
