A trio of Louisiana Christian Wildcats were recognized with All-Region honors by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, including Orange Beach native and Gulf Shores alumna Olivia Coaker.

The senior second baseman led Louisiana Christian in slugging percentage (.589) and was the lone Wildcat to register at least one hit during the team’s Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. Coaker racked up a .389 average with 35 hits — including 10 multi-hit games and 9 multi-RBI contests — 28 RBIs, 16 walks, 10 runs, 9 doubles and 3 home runs.

She had already garnered first-team all-conference honors as well as a spot on the postseason All-Tournament team. With the NFCA first-team All-Region nod, Coaker was automatically placed into a pool of consideration for NAIA All-American status.

Over four seasons, Coaker was a .343 career hitter with 124 hits in 362 at-bats over 152 games. With 40 doubles, 2 triples, 13 home runs and 111 RBIs, she logged a .572 slugging percentage and a .442 on-base percentage between 72 walks and 4 hit-by-pitches. In the field, she recorded 223 putouts and 248 assists with 18 errors for a .963 fielding percentage.

She also pitched 130.1 innings over 38 appearances with a 12-7 record and a 3.28 ERA. Across 9 complete games and 1 shutout, she allowed 170 hits, 90 runs (61 earned) and 30 walks against 44 strikeouts for an opposing batting average of .314.

Coaker was joined by junior catcher Jordan Dauthier and senior centerfielder Lexie Marks who both earned second-team All-Region distinctions. Coaker and Marks were two of three recognized on the all-conference first team where Dauthier was one of three all-conference honorable mentions.

Junior pitcher McKenna Gehr, another Gulf Shores alum, represented Louisiana Christian on the RRAC’s Champions of Character Team. She threw 6.2 innings over 3 appearances with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks on top of 2 assists in 2 chances in the field.

Louisiana Christian finished 29-21 overall with a 16-10 mark in conference play. The Wildcats ranked second in runners caught stealing (21) and fourth in double plays turned (22) across the NAIA. They led the RRAC in the same categories, as well as assists (401), sacrifice bunts (41), plate appearances (1,441) and at-bats (1,228).
