Baldwin County families have plenty of ways to keep little ones active and entertained this week.

From creative art sessions and story time to fall-themed play days and hands-on building fun, local organizations are offering events designed to spark imagination and movement.

Many of these events are free or low-cost, making it easy for families to enjoy memorable moments without breaking the bank.

TOT OPEN PLAY

What: Bay City Gymnastics Academy is hosting an open play session for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Activities include gross motor play, sensory stimulation and opportunities for social interaction. All children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call (251) 621-2112.

When: Friday, Oct. 17, 10-11 a.m.

Where: Bay City Gymnastics Academy, 8534 Well Road, Daphne

Price: $10 for one child; $15 for two or three siblings; $5 for each additional sibling after three. Cash only

MESS MAKERS SOCIETY

What: The Eastern Shore Art Center’s Mess Makers Society is welcoming ages 10 and up for a Saturday Open Studio led by Community Outreach Director Lindsey Lawrence and visiting artists. Students will have the freedom to work on their own projects while joining group activities that inspire creativity. This week’s session features comic making with Mykaela Armstrong. When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Where: Eastern Shore Art Center, 401 Oak St., Fairhope

PUMPKIN PLAY DAY

What: Graham Creek Nature Preserve is hosting Pumpkin Play Day, a morning of fall fun featuring games, activities and family-friendly entertainment. Guests are encouraged to bring candy buckets and enjoy autumn-themed play in the pavilion area.

When: Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m.-noon

Where: Graham Creek Nature Preserve, 23460 Wolf Bay Dr., Foley

Price: Free admission

FREE BUILD – ACTIVITY ROOM

What: The Fairhope Public Library Activity Room is open for unstructured play with Lincoln Logs, blocks, LEGOs and more. Children of all ages can explore and create while parents provide supervision and help with cleanup.

When: Monday, Oct. 20, 9:15 a.m.-noon

Where: Fairhope Public Library, 501 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope

Price: Free admission

STORY TIME WITH WORD BIRD

What: The Bay Minette Public Library is hosting Story Time with Word Bird, a fun and interactive reading session for children. The event may be held at the library or the Kid’s Park. Check the library’s Facebook page for location updates.

When: Tuesday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m.
