In a historic year of membership for Impact 100 Baldwin County, the all-women nonprofit that supports projects to improve and enhance quality of life in the area, has narrowed its application pool to 10 finalists for its 2025 grant cycle.
For the first time since its inception in 2008, the group will award six grants rather than five, made possible by membership reaching 554, which includes a record-breaking 119 new members. In total, $564,000 will be awarded in the nonprofit's 18th year. Each winning project will receive $94,000.
Impact 100 funds the grants by pooling $1,000 donations from each member. This model of philanthropy is known as a giving circle, and its goal is to make a significant impact in the community through large grants to area nonprofits.
