ORANGE BEACH — The island has a new Mexican restaurant with Pedro’s Tacos Fresh Mex.

The restaurant is located at 25775 Perdido Beach Blvd. within The Shoppes at Palm Pointe, where Carver’s Steakhouse used to reside.

“We are all excited,” Manager Roberto Reyes said about opening. “Very excited because we’ve been having a lot of people coming in. A lot of locals that come two or three times a week already, so that’s good for us. We feel welcomed in this city.”

Pedro’s has everything to satisfy your cravings for Mexican food, serving burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas and fajitas, including dishes with seafood and birria, a type of slow-cooked beef.

The establishment also has a wide variety of margaritas and martinis. To finish it all off, the restaurant also offers desserts such as churros, served with a scoop of ice cream and drizzled with chocolate.

Pedro’s Tacos Fresh Mex is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
