Baldwin County's top athletes and teams are finding new ways to impress each week as Gulf Coast Media's Baldwin County Buzz continues with another pair of well-deserving honors.

This week, Gulf Shores sophomore wrestler Khloe Henshaw earned Athlete of the Week after a historic season on the mat, along with the Foley girls soccer team claiming Team of the Week after a championship run at the Southern Shootout.

KHLOE HENSHAW, GULF SHORES WRESTLING

Khloe Henshaw continues to set the standard for Gulf Shores wrestling, delivering another milestone season for the Dolphins. Still early in her high school career, Henshaw dons a 61-0 record over the past two varsity seasons.

The sophomore became the first wrestler in program history to win back-to-back county championships, closing out the 2025-26 campaign with an undefeated 32-0 record in the 235-lb weight class. Henshaw was one of four Baldwin County champions this season and played a key role in helping Gulf Shores secure a top-10 team finish.

FOLEY GIRLS SOCCER

Foley girls soccer made a statement last week with a championship performance at the Southern Shootout, capturing the Copa bracket title with a perfect 3-0 tournament record.

The Lions outscored opponents 6-0 across three matches, including two victories over Baldwin County teams that reached the postseason in 2025. The strong weekend was especially notable after Foley opened the season with three straight losses — the Lions are trying to reach the 7A state tournament for the first time since 2022.
