Three Baldwin County basketball standouts and a newly hired coach have been selected to participate in the 30th-annual Alabama High School Athletic Association North-South All-Star Games.
The annual event will feature four 15-player squads made up of rising seniors from across the state. In addition to boys’ and girls’ basketball, All-Star Week will include competitions in baseball, softball, volleyball, soccer, cross country, tennis and golf.
Fairhope’s Nylah Loukides and Trey Garner, along with Robertsdale’s Skyler Washington, were named to the South teams, while Spanish Fort head coach Andre Epps will serve on the South boys’ staff.
Loukides helped lead Fairhope’s girls program to its first Elite Eight appearance in school history during the 2025-26 season. The Lady Pirates finished with a program-best 28-5 record, with Loukides earning Class 7A second-team all-state honors. The forward anchored the frontcourt throughout the season, recording multiple double-doubles for Fairhope in a historic year.
Staying with Fairhope, Garner also earned a Class 7A second-team all-state honor after leading the Pirates to their third Final Four appearance in program history. He was named the 7A Regional Tournament MVP and guided Fairhope to an Area 1 championship as well. Garner played a key role in the frontcourt for the Pirates, particularly in the absence of standout senior Jackson Gulley due to injury.
Washington filled the stat sheet for the Golden Bears this past season in the backcourt. He led the team in scoring, assists, rebounds and steals, averaging 13.5 points, four rebounds and three assists per game. A two-year varsity starter, Washington improved from an eight-point scoring average as a sophomore to become the focal point of a young Robertsdale squad in 2025-26.
Epps — who was hired as Spanish Fort’s boys head coach in early March — will represent Murphy High School on the South boys’ staff after leading the Panthers to a 26-7 record and a Class 6A Area 1 title last season.
The North-South All-Star Games serve as a showcase for the state’s top rising seniors with the guidance of some of the top staff members throughout Alabama. AHSAA All-Star Week is set for July 20-24 in Montgomery at various locations.
