The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to host the Annual First Responder Appreciation Dinner

Posted

The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will host the Annual First Responder Appreciation Dinner this week. First responders will be honored at an annual appreciation dinner in Bay Minette on Sept. 19.

The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event, which has grown so much in popularity that it is being moved from Matthews Landing in Stockton to the John F. Rhodes Civic Center, 301 D'Olive St., Bay Minette. Friends of the First Responders used to organize the event, but because of its growth, the group approached the Chamber in 2023 to take over the dinner and further expand its impact, according to a news release.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. by Mudbug Mafia, and there will be an award ceremony to recognize the North Baldwin First Responder of the Year. The award shines a spotlight on an "outstanding individual who has shown extraordinary valor, made significant contributions to our community and consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty."

"It is an honor to host this great event that helps give back to those who sacrifice so much," said Kristina Pittman, Chamber executive director. "To our North Baldwin first responders, the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce would like to extend our deepest appreciation for the tireless and selfless work on behalf of our North Baldwin community. Your commitment and dedication to keeping North Baldwin safe and a great place to live, shop, eat and play is truly valued and does not go unnoticed."
