Posted

The City of Bay Minette, in partnership with Baldwin County High School's National Honor Society, Peer Helpers and Student Council, is hosting its Light in the Darkness Suicide Awareness Walk, tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 19.

The event, set to begin at 7 p.m. at Kids Park, aims to bring the community together to raise awareness about suicide prevention and honor the lives lost to suicide.

Participants are encouraged to make donations for luminaries, which will be placed in memory of those who have passed. Proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a national organization dedicated to providing resources and support to those affected by suicide.

Kids Park, located at the intersection of McMillan Avenue and West Third Street in downtown Bay Minette, will serve as the gathering point for the walk.
