Sun Belt championships return to Foley across three fall sports

Posted

Over the next few weeks, Foley will play host to three Sun Belt championships across multiple sports, continuing its run as a central hub for the conference's competition.

First up is the Sun Belt Cross Country Championship on Oct. 31 at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, marking the fourth consecutive year the event has been held on the land. Appalachian State swept both the men's and women's team titles in 2024.

The action continues with the Sun Belt Women's Soccer Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 3-8 at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. Foley has been home to the soccer tournament since 2016. James Madison captured its first championship last year after finishing as runner-up the previous two years, while South Alabama has claimed five of the nine titles hosted in Foley.

Wrapping up the trio of events is the Sun Belt Volleyball Championship, which returns to the Foley Event Center for a sixth-straight year on Nov. 19-23. Texas State took home the crown last year, its second championship since the city began hosting.
