St. Michael Catholic recently announced a handful of faculty hires, including Grace Austin who will join the Cardinals this fall as a health/PE teacher and varsity volleyball coach.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to be part of a school that values character, discipline, faith and personal and spiritual growth,” Austin shared.

Austin is currently finishing her exercise science degree at Austin Peay State University, where she has competed as a full-scholarship beach volleyball student-athlete. She also brings five years of coaching experience with Beach South Volleyball Club and has helped lead clinics with some of the nation’s top coaches.

Principal Dr. Andrea Williamson added, “Ms. Austin checks every box. She is qualified athletically and academically and appreciates the spiritual framework we have here at St. Michael. We’re excited to welcome her to our community.”
