Snook Christian hoops earned statewide recognition this week as seniors Josh Gabel and Micah Brunson were among the 30 boys selected to the AISA all-star roster.
Gabel and Brunson become the second and third players in program history to be chosen for the annual basketball all-star game. Their selections also mark the second time in three years that Snook Christian has been represented, following Roshad Harris' appearance in the 2024 game — the first all-star selection in school history.
The honors capped off a season in which the Eagles reached the AISA Class 2A playoffs as the No. 1 seed out of AA Region 2. Snook finished the year with an 11-12 overall record, but a strong 6-1 mark in region play helped secure the top spot.
Snook's postseason run ended in the opening round with a 50-39 loss to Springwood School, which entered the playoffs with an 18-11 record. Even with the early exit, the all-star selections — along with the third-most wins in program history — highlighted another milestone season for Eagles basketball.
