Racks lined with thousands of formal gowns are waiting to make someone’s prom extra special.
The Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore is hosting its annual Project Prom event, Saturday, March 4, at Fairhope High School in the dance room in the 600 wing. The event is designed to give anyone attending prom the opportunity to own a dress regardless of their ability to buy one.
The event is made possible by the community donating gowns. Some are new with tags while others are gently used. Dresses are available in sizes XXS to 5 XL.
Project Prom doesn’t stop at dresses. There are shoes and accessories, too. Throughout the event, door prizes will be given away for services like alterations, hairstyling, nails, makeup, corsages and more.
