Where did July go y'all? The children will be off to school before you know it, so it's time for back-to-school shopping. I don't know about you, but it can be my least favorite part of the back-to-school experience.

With the summer wrapping up, it is time to make a few more memories and our list of weekend events is here to help. Start your weekend with a fun event that gives back. The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation's annual Casino Night is a fun grown-up night out. Saturday has some family-friendly water fun events to help you keep cool. Head to Foley's Graham Creek for Water Day or Fairhope's Back to School Bash for free water fun featuring water slides and more. Pack up the lawn chairs Saturday for an evening of island-themed music in Silverhill. Finally, head down to Gulf State Park and meet the animal ambassadors at the Nature Center before heading off to enjoy the park or the beach.

If our list missed the mark, visit our event calendar at www.GulfCoastMedia.com for more events happening this weekend or beyond. Search for events by distance from your home city or vacation spot.
