Ocean Camp, based in Gulf Shores, is a unique organization on the Gulf Coast, solely devoted to marine and environmental education, with plenty of hands-on discovery and adventure along the way.

The mission of Ocean Camp is to give priority to marine & environmental education in our coastal community as an opportunity to build marine science career interests, respect for our natural world and increase learning venues for our visitors.

Ocean Camp’s creator, certified marine educator and public school teacher Belinda Ringpfeil, hopes to promote the Gulf Coast's beautiful coastal environment by providing children and families with a new kind of 'edutainment'; wet and watery marine discoveries. Hands-on activities, inquiry, research, problem-solving and critical-thinking are all part of the curriculum which is based on Ocean Literacy principles.

We provide our Marine Environmental Education through school field trips, spring break & summer camps, events, and parties.  Overnight dormitory-style boarding is also available during camp weeks.

Director Belinda Ringpfeil has an Education Masters degree, 15 years experience teaching children & a marine education background. Certified Teachers, Marine Biology Graduates & Counselors-in-Training also assist with camper groups.
