MaxPreps names four Orange Beach softball standouts to 2025 All-America team

Four Orange Beach softball standouts were named to the 2025 MaxPreps High School Softball All-America team, including two first-team selections, one second-team and one honorable mention.

Only 85 players across the country were honored by the high school athletics site. Senior KG Favors and rising senior Katie King were named to the first team, while Ava Hodo earned second-team recognition and Teagan Revette received honorable mention.

Favors, the lone senior among the group in 2024, was a force on both sides of the ball. Most notably, she dominated the circle by posting a 19-1 record with a 0.90 ERA across 116.1 innings, tallying 157 strikeouts to just 64 walks. She also hit .360 with seven home runs at the plate.

King put up one of the best all-around seasons in the country. The rising senior led the Makos in batting average (.586), hits (85), runs (77), doubles (22) and triples (8) and was second in stolen bases (27). She added eight home runs and posted an OPS well over 1.500 while slugging north of 1.000.

Hodo, another rising senior, provided elite power while maintaining one of the most disciplined approaches in the country. She hit .571 with a team-high 15 home runs, drove in 77 runs and drew a team-best 28 walks — striking out just twice in the process.

Revette, also part of Orange Beach’s loaded 2026 class, hit .540 with 14 home runs and a team-leading 81 RBIs. She struck out only three times in the entire season and, like King and Hodo, finished with both a slugging percentage over 1.000 and an OPS above 1.500.

Combined, the three returning Makos accounted for 37 home runs, 211 RBIs and just 12 total strikeouts — numbers rarely seen at any level of the sport, let alone high school.

Orange Beach softball continues to draw attention after being declared 2024 National Champions by MaxPreps, becoming the first softball team in Alabama to earn that right.

With Favors now graduated, Orange Beach will lean on its powerful senior trio as it looks to extend its dynasty in 2026. The Makos have won four straight AHSAA state championships and continue to raise the bar not just in Alabama, but nationally as the No. 2 overall team in the country.
