Gypsy Spark to headline return of live music to Blakeley State Park

Posted

Historic Blakeley State Park north of Spanish Fort is getting ready to welcome live music back to its special events schedule this spring.

Once a month on a selected Friday in March, April and May, the park will host an evening of family-friendly live performances and have a food truck on hand from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

On March 10, the park welcomes popular local band Gypsy Spark back to the park. Gypsy Spark’s Southern-rooted music is somewhat nostalgic of '60s folk with a dreamy element that intertwines flute, banjo, harmonica and acoustic guitar. With lyrics inspired by their love for nature and preserving the environment, Gypsy Spark will transport you to a thought-provoking realm. Their vast repertoire includes hundreds of original songs and creative spins on familiar cover tunes, offering something for everyone.

The Neon Grill food truck will be on site with delicious nachos, quesadillas, loaded fries and desserts.

Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12; kids under 6 are free. Bring a chair!
