Gulf Shores set to kickoff spring with Two-Man Tour golf tournament

Competitive golf is coming to the Gulf Coast this spring as Good Game Sports and the Two-Man Tour partner to bring the Alabama Two-Man Challenge to Gulf Shores Golf Club.

The 10th edition of the Alabama Two-Man Challenge is scheduled for Feb. 28 through March 1 and will feature $10,000 in cash prizes with a minimum of 25% of the field finishing in the money.

The event begins with a noon shotgun start on Saturday and resumes on Sunday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start for the final round. Each two-man team will complete two full rounds over the weekend.

Being that Gulf Shores is a tourist destination and popular in the golf scene, it is expected that golfers from across the Southeast will travel for the tournament. In addition to the main competition, the weekend will include optional daily cash skins games and on-course side contests to create an energetic environment.

Beginning in 2011, the Two-Man Tour is competitive golf for amateurs who work for a living rather than compete professionally. Retired golfers are welcome to participate and are encouraged to tee off when appropriate. Players who have held active status on a professional tour within the past 18 months are not eligible to compete.
