ROBERTSDALE – Sporting a green

jacket, dark sunglasses and a knitted cap in all three crimes, the

robber of the United Bank in Magnolia Springs, is also suspected of

robbing the Americash Cash Advance in Gulf Shores on March 20 and A

Dollar Cash Advance in Foley on March 14.

The string of robberies, which were caught by

surveillance cameras, is suspected to be performed by the same

individual, according to Baldwin County Sheriff Huey “Hoss” Mack

Jr.

The suspect is a white male approximately 30

to 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to

200 pounds, wearing a green jacket and a dark knitted cap – a

“skull cap” -, according to physical descriptions from witnesses

and surveillance video.

The suspect is believed to be driving a silver

/ white, mid-size car, similar to a Ford Taurus.

Mack along with Baldwin County District

Attorney Judy Newcomb, Foley Police Chief David Wilson and Gulf

Shores Investigator Skip Callaway are working together, an approach

designated as the Violent Crime Task Force.

The task force will develop a strategy that

will link the municipal and county police departments, and increase

the number of investigators working on the case.

Officials believe that the suspect is

armed.

Mack is asking that if anyone knows this

suspect or has a shred of information to call local

authorities.  Any evidence could lead to his

capture, he said.

Major Anthony Lowery of the Sheriff’s Office

said on Thursday that the task force is following a few leads.

County authorities can be reached at 937-0202;

Foley PD, 943-4431; Gulf Shores PD, 968-2431.
