Bring your appetite, and prepare for a fun time because it is Mudbugs & Margarita Festival time.

Beach Life Events has announced the lineup for the 2024 edition of the Mudbugs & Margaritas Festival. When it comes to the mudbugs, Lisa Yeater, Beach Life Events president assured Gulf Coast Media there would be plenty of crawfish.

"We have been watching the crawfish prices, and they continue to drop," Yeater said. "There will be plenty of crawfish to enjoy, and all the food vendors will have at least one crawfish dish on the menu."

The annual festival will take over Heritage Park in downtown Foley on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The family-friendly event has something for everyone in your group, including contests like Catch the Mudbug, Doughnut Hole Eating Contest and Margarita Holding Contest.

Each year, Yeater and her team work to attract new artisans, food vendors and entertainment and this year is no exception. She hopes to keep the festival fresh for those who attend each year.

Parents need not worry because the Children's Activity Zone is back. While the grown-ups enjoy browsing the arts and crafts, the little ones can enjoy a variety of activities, a petting zoo, pony rides and more.

Not a margarita fan? No worries. Despite being in the name of the festival, margaritas are not the only alcoholic drink available. Mixed cocktails, beer and wine will be available for purchase as well as Bushwacker Spirits samples.

• 10 a.m. – Gates open
• 10:30 a.m. – 90s Country Revival Band
• 12:15 p.m. – doughnut Hole Eating contest
• 12:30 p.m. – Shake It Out contest
• 1:30 p.m. – Eagle Sunrise (Eagles tribute band)
• 3 p.m. – Catch the Mudbug contest
• 3:15 p.m. – Margarita Holding contest
• 4 p.m. – Doctor Zarr's Amazing Funk Monster Band
• 6 p.m. – Festival concludes
