Foley basketball’s Amiyah Carvin made her presence felt on the hardwood this past Saturday, contributing to Team Alabama’s dominant performance in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
Team Alabama had six players in double figures, including Carvin who scored 10 as Alabama rolled to a 93-65 victory over Team Mississippi. The win marked Team Alabama’s ninth straight in the annual all-star matchup and improved its record to 22-14 in the 36-year series against Mississippi.
For Carvin, the senior adds another milestone to her standout career at Foley, becoming the third Lions player in as many years to represent the program in the prestigious all-star showcase. With her time wearing a Lions jersey now complete, Carvin will now focus on playing at the collegiate level where she is set to continue her basketball journey at Itawamba Community College following graduation.
