MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Ala. — Patrons of Magnolia Springs Library with an overdue book can now pay their fine while helping a worthy cause.

According to Librarian Alida Given,patrons can now donate a nonperishable food item instead of the 10-cent per day overdue fee. That contribution will then be given to Ecumenical Ministries. Given added that patrons can also make the donation even when they don’t have an overdue book.

She also pointed out that this program is also limited to Magnolia Springs Library.
