Christmas Cheer registration begins Oct. 13 at Christian Service Center

Posted

The Christian Service Center will begin registering local families Oct. 13 for its annual Christmas Cheer for Children’s Program, providing holiday toys for children and custodial grandchildren from newborn through high school.

Families who need assistance during the holiday season are eligible if they reside in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach or Fort Morgan. Registration will continue through Dec. 10.

October registration sessions will be held from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 at the Christian Service Center, 317 Dolphin Ave., Gulf Shores. Families also can register during these sessions to receive a Christmas Dinner box.

Through the Christmas Cheer for Children’s Program, toy requests are presented to community members as angels hung on Christmas trees displayed at various churches, businesses, restaurants and organizations. Community members can support the program by selecting angels and providing the requested gifts.

The program's angel donors helped provide Christmas gifts to 258 families and 758 children in 2025.

The Christian Service Center is an all-volunteer agency serving low-income families in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan. In addition to its Christmas program, the CSC provides food and emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities. The organization also makes referrals to other agencies and resources based on individual client needs.
