Fairhope senior Trey Garner announced his commitment to further his basketball career at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Monday.

The two-sport star plays quarterback for the Pirates' football team while doubling as a dynamic shooting guard/small forward on the hardwood.

Garner led the Pirates to the Class 7A Final Four earlier this year and was a second-team All-State selection, averaging 15.3 points and 8.1 rebounds.

The 6-foot-6 prospect joins a Huntsville program that is fresh off a 23-10 campaign from a season ago.
