Emerald Coast Golf Tour returning to Kiva Dunes, Sept. 14-17

The Emerald Coast Golf Tour is returning to Gulf Shores, with the developmental series coming to Kiva Dunes Golf Course from Sept. 14-17.

The week's events will begin with a practice round for all players on Monday, the 14th, before the first round for professionals takes place Tuesday.

Following a Pro Am party on Tuesday night, amateur players will take to the course alongside the pros on Wednesday. The format will be the two best balls of the four, and prizes will be awarded following the Pro Am competition.

Thursday will feature the third and final round of professional play, with tee times beginning at 9:45 a.m. and final awards being presented in the clubhouse after play concludes.

Sponsored by the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Tourism board, the event features players from all over the country who are attempting to earn their PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour cards.

The inaugaral Kiva Dunes Pro Classic was won by co-champions Hunter Stewart and Micahel Hebert in 2017. Stewart repeated in 2018 before Doug Barron won in 2019, Michael Johnson emerged victorious in 2021 and Zach Sucher won in 2022.

Stanton Schoor shot a course record of 62 in 2023 before going on to claim the top prize, while Jacob Harper won in 2024 and Wesley Hunter is the defending champ from 2025.

To take part in the Pro Am or ask other questions about the event, individuals are asked to contact the Kiva Dunes pro shop at 251-540-7000, or Geno Celano with the Emerald Coast Golf Tour at 850-217-3412.

The Pro Am entry fee is $130, which includes lunch, drinks, prizes and a pizza party after play concludes.

The pro entry free will be $975 for club members and $1,095 for non-members, and there will be a minimum of $10,000 awarded to the victor with 36-40% of the field being paid out.

Admission is free, spectators are welcome, and sponsors and volunteers are also needed.

The Village Hideway Sports Bar will be the official sports bar of the tournament.

The Emerald Coast Golf Tour kicks off its fall season with this event, as it has already visited multiple venues in Florida and Alabama this year.
