Elberta and Orange Beach will return to Mobile this week to compete in the AHSAA Class 1A-5A state bowling tournament at Bowlero Jan. 29-30.

The Orange Beach girls enter the tournament after finishing as the Class 1A-5A state runner-up in 2025, while the Elberta boys placed fourth a year ago. The Elberta girls did not qualify for state last season but earned a spot in this year’s field.

Orange Beach secured its berth by winning the Class 4A South Regional, defeating Northside and Marbury before out-bowling Horseshoe Bend 1,255-1,148 in the regional final.

Elberta placed fourth at the South Regional and was technically the first team to qualify for state despite their bracket exit. The Warriors fell to Satsuma 1,162-1,047 in the regional quarterfinal.

Both teams will face a challenging eight-team field that includes defending Class 1A-5A state champion Scottsboro as they compete for the Blue Map Trophy.
