STOCKTON, Ala. – Autographed memorabilia from Alabama and Auburn, as well as other sports items, will be up for auction to raise money for Baldwin County High School at the “Tiger Nation: Meet the Tigers” night Aug. 12 at Stagecoach Cafe in Stockton.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 6 p.m., are $25 for adults and $10 for students, and will include a seafood dinner, live entertainment, door prizes and the auction.
Some of the items up for bid includes a guided tour of the new athletic facilities of the University of Alabama; two tickets to the Alabama/Tennessee football game; footballs signed by Pat Dye and Gus Malzahan for Auburn and players McCarron, Lacy, Warmack, Yeldon and Cooper for Alabama; and a No. 15 helmet signed by Alabama Coach Nick Saban. In addition, other sports packages and memorabilia will be up for bid.
Bay Minette Mayor Robert A. “Bob” Wills said he hopes that fans will support this event. “We heartily encourage everyone who loves Baldwin County High School Tiger football to come to this big kick off event. It is very important to the success of our football program and all athletics at BCHS that they receive community support,” Wills said.
The mayor added that this event is “the first step in restoring the great partnership that always existed between Bay Minette, the north Baldwin communities and Baldwin County High School.”
BCHS Coach Bobby Moore will be on hand to share insight into the 2013-2014 season, and will introduce some key players from the Tiger football program.
Tickets are available at Bay Minette City Hall, Baldwin County High School, Stagecoach and at the door. Tickets may also be purchased from Booster Club members.
