BCHS honors 34 seniors with Academic Banners for excellence

Posted

Thirty-four seniors at Baldwin County High School were recognized last week for their academic achievements and commitment to excellence, both in and out of the classroom.

During a ceremony held at the school, BCHS presented Academic Banners to students who met a rigorous set of criteria, including a minimum ACT score of 22, completion of at least one Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment course, and a Career and Technical Education credential. To qualify, students also had to meet at least two of the following: a GPA of 3.5 or higher, membership in the National Honor Society, or participation in a club or extracurricular activity.

The recipients of this year’s Academic Banners are Eli Aaron, Hope Bates, Gabrielle Bidwell, Michael Blanton, Brady Bryars, Rebecca Bryars, Njabea Bufford, Chloe Burford, Taylor Conway, Madison Davis, James Drinkard, Lily Drinkard, Jackson Duncan, Jada Gray, Hollee Harville, Kayan Horace, Taylor Johnson, Cale Jones, Brooklyn Jones, Lindsey Ledford, Jamionna Lero, Andi McKissack, Samantha McMahill, Claudia Murchison, Abbigail Paul, Zachary Richards, Rose Rieben, Jacaleb Rivers, John Roberts, Taylor Robertson, Alanna Sanders, Addison Scarborough, Allison Siggers and Colton Wiggins.

Each student was invited to share their college or career plans during the ceremony, giving the audience a glimpse of the bright futures ahead for the Class of 2025. On graduation night, the banners will be draped over the back of each graduate’s chair as a final tribute to their dedication.

Now in its fourth year, the Academic Banner program has become a signature honor at Baldwin County High School.
