Bay Minette City Council recently celebrated the achievements of the Baldwin County High School (BCHS) Fishing Team, which shined on the national stage at the Bassmaster National Championship tournaments held at Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee.
The team of Kipton Hall and Wyatt Parker competed in the Bassmaster Junior National Championship, securing an impressive fourth place overall.
Among 15,000 teams from across the United States, 273 were selected to participate in the Bassmaster High School National Championship, including two teams from BCHS. Jameson Norris and Hunter Travis represented the school at this elite level, finishing in 22nd place. The duo had previously achieved a notable fifth place at the Alabama BASS Nation High School State Championship, which secured their spot at the nationals.
Luke England and Cole Rountree also made significant strides during the season. To qualify for the national stage, they finished second in the Angler of the Year standings for the Alabama BASS Nation High School Tiger division.
The BCHS Fishing Team is guided by Coach Will Galloway, whose leadership has been instrumental in their success.
