Baldwin County High School senior Stori Palmer crowned Miss AWAG 2025

Baldwin County High School (BCHS) senior Stori Palmer was crowned Miss AWAG 2025 during a program at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette. The annual pageant is sponsored by the Area Women’s Action Group.

Rounding out the top five were Layla Lee, BCHS, first runner-up; Zyanna Adams, BCHS, second runner-up; Haile Moorer, Daphne High School (DHS), third runner-up; and Dasia Matt, DHS, fourth runner-up.

The organization also presented several special awards and scholarships. Palmer received the Beatrice Lyons Memorial Award, the Krystyn Hardy Scholarship for $1,000 for the highest GPA, the Candace Crook Orr Queen Scholarship for $1,500 and first place for highest GPA. Other scholarship winners included Dasia Matt, DHS, who received the Cindy Higgins Bailey Scholarship for $1,000 for second highest GPA, and Layla Lee, BCHS, who received the Sabra Simmons Founders Scholarship for $1,000 and the Coastal Alabama Community College Scholarship for $4,000. Kamarin Powe, DHS, received the Mary H. Cox Memorial Award. Marley Crook, BCHS, received the Shedrick Hardy Memorial Award.

Additional awards recognized participants for spirit and participation. Zyanna Adams, BCHS, received the Most Spirit Award and shared the Eagle Award with Haile Moorer, DHS. Layla Lee and Alaysia Williams, BCHS, were recognized with the Shining Star Award. Kynnedi McReynolds and Ashlyn Green, BCHS, earned the Horizon Award. Zyanna Adams also received the Ticket & Presence Award. Kamarin Powe, DHS, won the Ads & Publishing Award, while Palmer received second place in Ads & Publishing. Dasia Matt and Layla Lee tied for second place overall.
