Bayside Academy’s boys team, led by fourth-year head coach Jonathan Vines, will look to build on last year’s 12-14 record and Class 3A Area 1 runner-up finish. The Admirals reached the regional first round before falling short of a deeper playoff push.

The team will be led by its two seniors — Miles Uter who is a 6-foot-5 post player and David Phillips, a taller wing who can stretch the floor. With experience and size in the frontcourt, Bayside will aim to challenge for another area title and improve on last year’s finish.

Head coach Samuel Miller’s squad finished 11-18 last season, also as Class 3A Area 1 runners-up. The Admirals lost in the regional sub-round but returned plenty of talent from that squad, including leading rebounder junior Eliana Blossom, who was also second on the team in scoring.

Bayside has a core of five sophomores who played significant minutes as freshmen and several underclassmen who gained early varsity experience. With continuity and experience at key positions, the Admirals are positioned for growth as they look to return to the postseason.
