The final National Signing Day of the 2025-26 school year brought another wave of Baldwin County athletes officially taking the next step in their athletic and academic careers.
Over 20 athletes from Baldwin County's 2025-26 signing classes will represent the county at the Division I level next season in their respective sports. More than 50 student-athletes across the county signed to compete at the collegiate level during the two signing periods.
BALDWIN COUNTY
Baldwin County High School saw three Tigers sign during the late signing period, highlighted by cheerleader Brianna Powell and football players Hayden Cooley and Luke England. Powell signed to cheer at Coastal Community College, where she intends to pursue a degree in nursing as well.
Cooley signed with McPherson College in Kansas after leading the Tigers as the starting quarterback during his junior and senior seasons. England signed with Copiah-Lincoln Community College football in Mississippi. Cooley's blindside protector is a staggering 6-foot-9, 325 pounds.
DAPHNE
Daphne High celebrated multiple signees on the gridiron including wide receiver CJ Gardner who will head to Miles College after totaling 946 career receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. Athlete Jaecyn "Scoot" Myles will join Gardner at Miles after producing 835 all-purpose yards and eight touchdowns in 2024. Defensive back Antonio Sledge joined the Miles class as well, finishing his career with 50 tackles, four interceptions and a receiving touchdown, and offensive lineman Brian Kelder signed with LaGrange College.
On the soccer field, forward Haile Moorer signed with Millsaps College after building one of the most accomplished careers in Daphne program history. Moorer has been a varsity player since seventh grade and has scored more than 50 goals and counting. Midfielder Kamryn Rowell signed with USSU, and three-time All-State selection Lacey Daffin signed with Southern Union State Community College.
ELBERTA
The Warriors saw two seniors from their historic 31-win baseball team sign during the late period. Brice Brooks signed with Bishop State, while fellow senior Carson Watts pledged to Florida Post Grad, a one-year college baseball post-graduate program located in Pensacola, Florida. Brooks also contributed on the football field at linebacker for Elberta, and Watts was a multi-sport athlete as a varsity soccer player.
FAIRHOPE
Fairhope athlete Byron Martin signed with Samford University after a standout multi-sport career. Martin totaled 2,170 career all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns, including 1,168 yards this season. He also contributed on the baseball diamond, batting .279 with 17 RBIs and 15 stolen bases last spring.
FOLEY
Foley's late signees included tight end Louis Pickens and defensive end Maurice Walker, both signing with Jones College. Pickens was originally committed to Southern Mississippi going into the 2025 season but flipped to Jones CC just before the offseason before signing this winter.
GULF SHORES
Gulf Shores catcher Price Stephens signed with Southern Union State, bringing an impressive resume as both a hitter and defender. Stephens finished his career as a .313 hitter with 38 RBIs and just three career errors behind the plate, posting a .991 fielding percentage. He also showcased elite tools with a 1.94 pop time, 79 mph catcher velocity and a 98.7 mph exit velocity.
Stephens also contributed in football, totaling 545 career all-purpose yards while recording 109 tackles and 19 tackles for loss on defense. He held offers from programs like Troy, Brown, Murray State, Nichols State, North Alabama and more.
ORANGE BEACH
Orange Beach volleyball player Ella Bilbo was the only non-member of Mako football to sign, pledging to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. On the baseball side, right-hander Matthew Hoover signed with Mobile University after posting a 1.18 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 35.2 innings last year. Hoover also collected 103 career tackles, four tackles for loss and one sack on the gridiron.
Orange Beach saw multiple football signees with athlete Adrian Billups signed to Millsaps College along with offensive lineman Sam Fetner. Fellow offensive lineman Kyle Greak signed with South Alabama.
ROBERTSDALE
The Golden Bears celebrated a trio of signees starting with lineman Wheylan Williams who signed with Miles College, while defensive lineman Jayden Brock committed to William Penn University. Rounding it out was another member of the trenches in offensive lineman Brett Boykin signing with Holmes Community College.
SNOOK
Snook Christian — the lone AISA program in Baldwin County — was represented on signing day by softball player Savannah Clayton, who signed with York University after pitching 37.2 innings last season while also batting .319 with 16 RBIs for the Eagles.
SPANISH FORT
The Toros signed a large class back in December of 2025, but this time it was just one athlete: Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College signee Demetrius Prim. The Spanish Fort defensive end recorded 16 tackles, five tackles for loss and one sack in his lone season playing high school football.
ST. MICHAEL
St. Michael Catholic's signing class included flag football player Dayla Anderson signing with Spring Hill College, and baseball player Noah Mosley signing with Stillman College.
Wide receiver Brody Jones also signed with West Georgia after a last-second flip from South Alabama on signing day. Jones aided the Cardinals in a historic 13-2 season in which he recorded 1,056 yards and 18 touchdowns. He finished his career with 3,762 receiving yards, 243 catches and 47 total touchdowns.
