Baldwin County squads brought home hardware and strong finishes at the AHSAA State Cheer Competition this weekend, highlighted by two repeat state titles and a standout showing from Daphne's programs.
Orange Beach headlined the day for the varsity divisions with back-to-back 4A Gameday state championships, securing titles in both 2024 and 2025. The Makos' JV team also placed 8th in JV Gameday.
Daphne put together one of the most complete performances of the county field. The Trojans claimed the Varsity Coed state championship and added a 3rd-place finish in 7A Varsity Gameday. At the middle school level, Daphne Middle repeated as Junior High Gameday – Large champions and also earned runner-up honors in the Junior High – Large division, capping a dominant multi-level effort.
Fairhope put on a strong performance as well; the Pirates' varsity finished 6th in 7A Varsity Gameday, while Fairhope Middle took runner-up in Junior High Gameday – Small.
Across the remainder of the county, Bayside Academy placed 14th in 3A Varsity Gameday, Foley finished 21st in 7A Varsity Gameday, Spanish Fort earned 8th in 6A Varsity Gameday, and Baldwin County closed with 16th in 6A Varsity Gameday.
