Judge and Mrs. Robert Earl Wilters of Foley announce the engagement of their daughter, Amelia Blaire Wilters, to Christopher Ross Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Laverne Baxter of Gulf Shores.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Martha Howard Wilters, Judge Harry John Wilters Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Young Ausphera Cox Jr.
She is a graduate of Gulf Shores High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Birmingham Southern College where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She is employed by Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
The prospective bridgroom is the grandson of the late Martha I. Baxter, Charlie V. Baxter, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Fletcher Tharp.
He ius a graduate of Washington County High School and served six years in the nuclear engineering program with the U.S. Navy. He is pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee.
The couple will exchange vows Jan. 2, 2010 at the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
