Catharine Ross Smith and David Matthew McBrayer were united in marriage May 19, 2007 at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope. The Rev. Mark Howard Wilson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Maclin Smith. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jonathan Bullock Flynn and the late Mr. Flynn, the late Louise Smith Peebles and the late Frank Rutherford Smith.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John David McBrayer of Birmingham. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Alan May, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Curtis Threet and the late Mr. and Mrs. Solon Woodrow McBrayer.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Cousins of the bride, Marlee Smith Terry served as matron of honor, Haller Jackson Smith as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Randall Smith, Mary Zane Herndon, cousins of the bride; Mary Frances Alston, Lauren Rae Ambler, Allison Lee Geddie, Kimberly Delaine Mikell, Ashley Elizabeth Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Wilson.
Dr. John David McBrayer, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Evan McBrayer and Adam Alexander McBrayer, brothers of the bridegroom; Henry Maclin Smith Jr. and Jonathan Wilson Smith, brothers of the bride; Nicholas Stephen Barcelone, Christian Andrew Fleming, Justin David Flurry, Ryan Dale Hays, Brian Charles Jackson and Kyle David Williams.
A reception followed at the home of the bride’s family in Point Clear.
After a honeymoon to Antigua, the couple will reside in Birmingham.
