Mr. and Mrs. John Burkett Ryan Jr. of Bay Minette announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Ellen Ryan, to Jeffrey Shane Diedtrich, son of Rita Diedtrich-Findley of Bay Minette and Jimmy Jay of Atmore.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ray Owen of Bay Minette and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Burkett Ryan of Jacksonville.
She is a 2002 graduate of Baldwin County High School and a 2006 graduate of Croft Institute for International Studies at the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is employed as an import/export coordinator by NYK Line in Atlanta.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Wally Diedtrich of Bay Minette and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henison Jay of Atmore.
He is a 2002 graduate of Baldwin County High School and a 2007 graduate of the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama. He is employed by Shoe Station Inc., as an Assistant Store Manager at the Eastern Shore Centre location.
The couple will exchange vows Aug. 25, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Bay Minette.
