Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lowrey Rhodes Sr. of Bay Minette announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Webb Rhodes, to John Gordon Roach III, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gordon Roach Jr. of McComb, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Houston Samuel Sutter of Meridian, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Larkin Turner Rhodes Jr. of Bay Minette.
She is a 2000 graduate of Baldwin County High School and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of pharmaceutical science degree. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. In May of 2007 she graduated from the University of Mississippi Pharmacy School with a doctor of pharmacy degree.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Gordon Roach of McComb, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Mount McDougall of Magnolia, Miss.
He is a 1999 graduate of Clinton High School and received a bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School and is currently an attorney for the Judge Advocate General Corps in the United States Army at Fort Bragg.
The couple will exchange vows Aug. 11, 2007 at Orange Beach United Methodist Church.
