Calling all student artists!

From now until Jan. 26, Baldwin County middle and high school students can enter an art competition through the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival.

Artwork must incorporate next year's theme, "Classic Fairhope: A Study in Black and White," using Fairhope as inspiration. Solo or group submissions are allowed.

Students interested in participating can pick up a canvas at M&M Bank located at 325 Fairhope Ave. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The top 30 submissions will be displayed at the festival's artist awards dinner on March 20, where they will be judged by artists participating in the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival. Students will be notified by Feb. 13 if their piece is selected in the top 30.

First place winner earns $1000; second place earns $750 and third place earns $500.

A submission form and more information on the competition can be found at www.fairhopeartsandcraftsfestival.com/student-art-competition-form.
