FAIRHOPE – All of those attending Saturday's Phantasy of the Arts 2013 would likely say they were there to support education. Michael Patrick was a professor of English at the University of Missouri before he retired to Fairhope. He and his wife, Sheena, were among the early arrivals at the Civic Center for Phantasy. Helene Hassel of Mobile hosts many students through programs of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation. So does John Dindo, associate director and senior marine scientist at the Sea Lab. In addition, Gina Lanaux takes her dance programs into the classrooms regularly. All of these friends of education knew the sponsor was Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation. However, the real attractions were the food prepared by Tamara Wintzell, the beverages from Fairhope Brewing Co. and the music of St. Paul and the Broken Bones. More than 450 turned out for the Phantasy night of entertainment, according to FEEF Executive Director Cori Yonge. Advance tickets cost $100 per person, and admission at the door was $125.
