A program held by the Orange Beach Public Library last month brought in 350 people to the library including locals and out-of-county families.

Outreach and Programming Librarian for Orange Beach, Brianna, spoke at the Oct. 21 City Council meeting on the recent success of the library's programs. She said the turnout last month was "wonderful."

"We are hoping to add more of these all-ages family programs to the calendar including — if anybody is a Taylor Swift fan — we have a Taylor Swift birthday party," she said. "It is all ages on Dec. 13, and it'll be a lot of fun with games and crafts and prizes and more."

Later this year, the library will be holding an adult winter reading program, similar to the summer reading program. A full calendar of events can be found on the library's website at www.orangebeachlibrary.gov.

The library is located at 26267 Canal Road in Orange Beach. The hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
