In her new children’s book, “A Squirrelly Tale,” Mobile resident and author Lori Taylor introduces readers to the adventure and life of a rodent who is trying to find his way back home.
Life was good for Squirrelly who had all he needed in the attic of a home, until the day he was trapped in a cage and taken to a local park. Squirrelly misses the creature comforts of his attic home. Alone in a strange place, Squirrelly sets out on an adventure to follow his heart back to the place he knows best, never losing belief that home is really where the heart is.
After trapping four squirrels in her own attic, Taylor began to wonder what life was like for the squirrels who were now running free in the local park. “A Squirrelly Tale” is how she pictured them finding their way back to her attic.
Taylor explained that, “I go around to Gulf Coast schools as the guest author with all my “squirrelly tales;” it is for pre-schoolers to second graders. I would love for parents, teachers or librarians to arrange for me to come to their school. I can be reached at thetaylorhome@comcast.net or squirrellycelebration.com.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
