Cherry McKay of Montgomery, Ala., and Ted Payne of Wetumpka, Ala. were married on September 18 at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery. The bride is an Executive Assistant for Caddell Construction in Montgomery and the bridegroom is Executive Director of the Peace Officer’s Association in Montgomery.
The bride’s parents are Curtis and Marie McKay of Bay Minette, and the bridegroom’s parents are Mrs. Mary Payne of Montgomery, Ala. and the late Mr. T. L. Payne.
The Matron of Honor was Heather Thompson of Southern Pines, N.C. and the flower girls were Mary Grace Hixon (granddaughter of the groom) and Samantha Jo Ludwick (dear friend of the bride.) The best man was Brad Payne of Trussville, Ala., son of the groom. Ushers were Mickey McKay and James McKay, brothers of the bride, and Joel McKay, nephew of the bride. After a wedding cruise to Mexico, the couple resides in Wetumpka, Ala.
