One person died and another has been arrested after a shooting incident that stemmed from what police say was an argument that became physical.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office was contacted about a shooting that occurred in a neighborhood off County Road 20 in south Foley in the early morning hours of Sept. 8, the sheriff's office wrote in a statement. The victim suffered one apparent gunshot wound injury and succumbed to the wound.

Michael David Norton has been charged with murder and was taken into custody. According to the statement, this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
