Loxley Police chase ends in single-vehicle crash; police department addresses rumors

Posted

In the late hours of June 4, the Loxley Police Department engaged in a high-speed car chase that culminated in a single-vehicle accident involving the suspect.

The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment following the crash. Authorities have refrained from disclosing the extent of the suspect's injuries.

Amid rumors on social media, Amber Morgan, administrative assistant for the Loxley Police Department, clarified that no police vehicles were damaged during the incident.

In response to public concern, the Loxley Police Department addressed the circulating misinformation.

"We have been made aware that there is a public Facebook group making posts about police and/or medical calls in Baldwin County that are not completely factual," Morgan told Gulf Coast Media.  "Unfortunately, this is causing unnecessary concern (and) panic within the community."
