Julia Delano Lazzari, a longtime resident of Belforest, Alabama, passed away Jul. 1, 2024, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama, at the age of 93. Julia’s joy was gardening, she was a voracious reader, and loved laughing with her grandchildren and a good, harmless, practical joke. Every color was her favorite color, and once upon a time her dancing shoes were well worn. As a teen she was quick to join the priests in an Irish jig and sing anywhere they would hand her a microphone. She had a huge heart, loved fiercely, fed anyone who came to her table, and will be missed by so many.

Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Lazzari Sr.; mother, Glenda Rolando; brother, Earl Rodgers; son, Joseph J. Lazzari Jr.; and son-in-law, Kenneth “Bubba” Lee.

She is survived by her five daughters, Sandra Ludke of Daphne, Alabama, Risé Lee of Daphne, Alabama, Katrina Lazzari of Orlando, Florida, Terry Wallace, and Kristi Lazzari both of Loxley, Alabama; sons, Christopher Lazzari, Patrick Lazzari both of Daphne, Alabama; two sisters, Mary Priemer of Atlanta, Georgia, Brenda Raines of Loxley, Alabama; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and dear friends. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated, Sat., Jul. 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment followed at Belforest Catholic Cemetery In lieu of flowers; the family asks that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
