On Wed., Jun. 26, 2024, Linda Stewart Nobles, a loving mother also known as Gram, peacefully went home to heaven. She was seventy-six years old. Born in Morton, Mississippi and preceded in death by her parents S L and Mary Zell “Mazie” Stewart. She grew up on the family farm and enjoyed being the “fifth sister” to her four aunts (Ola, Della, Hazel, Helen) of the Ance and Ollie Brown family.

Although circumstances were not always easy, she always persevered with good ole’ southern grit, determination, and a hope for tomorrow. She cared deeply for her family and sacrificed every day to be sure their needs were met even when hers maybe were not. Her entrepreneurial spirit and creativity guided her through the many jobs she held - Secretary, Retail Associate, Administrative Assistant, Seamstress, Self Employed, Nursing Assistant, and Office Manager, to name a few. Maybe through necessity but also firmly rooted in her farm life childhood, there’s not much she couldn’t fix or repair and continuously made the most of that innate skill set. In her retirement years, she enjoyed attending art classes, learned new crafts, and made jewelry. She loved to create and share her gifts with others she met.

In recent years, she engaged an interest in studying the Brown family genealogy and helped others to explore these details. Her legacy will be the ongoing maintenance of this information and the family farm in Mississippi for future generations to discover and enjoy the connections to their heritage. She is survived by her 3 children Carolyn (Micheal) Thomson, Stewart (Wynn) Nobles, and Allen (Meg) Nobles and 7 grandchildren Jordan, Emily, Carson, Micheal, Kate, Margaret, and Caroline. She is preceded in death by 1 grandchild William. There have also been many grand pets that she loved to spoil Maggie, Sam, Millie, Little Bear, Rascal, and Izzy.

A celebration of her life with family and friends will be held at the family farm in Pulaski, Mississippi on Sat. Sept. 7 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. The family asks that donations be made in her name to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
