Hunter’s Heart Foundation helps dozens of Daphne students gear up for school

Posted

More than 30 elementary students in Daphne will start the 2025-2026 school year with new supplies thanks to the Hunter’s Heart Foundation.

The nonprofit distributed backpacks, notebooks, pencils and other essentials purchased with $1,995 raised by community donors according to a news release. Organizers say the remaining funds will help fuel future programs, including the Holiday Helping Tree, which provides Christmas gifts for children in need.

Local businesses joined the effort, including Riviera Utilities, Daphne Utilities, Chris Clementon Siding LLC, Fix’N Two Home Appliance Repair, Doody Calls of Mobile, Lana Armstrong Permanent Jewelry and More, Sweet Peony Prints, Wildcat Soaps & Candles, Howl-N-Dog Hotdogs, EXIT Allstar Gulf Coast Realty and Daphne CoWork.

“The purpose of the Hunter’s Heart Foundation is to uplift and support our local community through acts of kindness, service and compassion,” said founder Amanda Hunter Spann. “We believe every person deserves to be seen, supported and valued, especially during life’s most challenging moments.”

In addition to its back-to-school initiative, the foundation raises money for local families and partners with other organizations to address needs in Baldwin County.

“Everything we do is rooted in love, driven by purpose and focused on making a meaningful impact right here at home,” Hunter said.
