Mr. and Mrs. James Preston Garriss Sr. of Poquoson, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Joy Holovar, to Joshua Covell Almaroad, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Covell Almaroad of Bell Fountain. She is also the daughter of the late John Holovar.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ethel Cantrell and the late Ruben Cantrell of Murphy, N.C., and the late John and Alive Holovar of Carlisle, Pa.
She is a 2000 graduate of the Christian Liberty Academy and 2004 graduate in consumer science of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.
She works at Bed, Bath and Beyond as a bridal consultant in Greenville, S.C.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Doris Almaroad and the late Lester Almaroad of Madison, Ind., and the late Douglas and Evelyn Waters of Bell Fountain.
He is a 2002 graduate of Pensacola Christian Academy and 2006 com laude graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., in accounting and works at Dixon Hughes as an auditor in Greenville, S.C.
The couple will exchange wedding vows May 19, 2007 at Pelham First Baptist Church in Greer, S.C.
