The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will usher in one of the city’s longest-running traditions when the 43rd-annual Christmas Fest returns to downtown Dec. 5 and 6.
The event, presented by North Baldwin Infirmary, will fill Blackburn Park with music, lights and a full slate of family activities, according to a news release.
Organizers expect more than 80 arts and crafts vendors along with food stands and continuous stage entertainment. Children can explore a petting zoo, a Christmas Fest maze and carnival games. The popular Ping Pong Ball Drop will launch Friday night with prizes scattered across the park. The grand marshall will again be the North Baldwin Infirmary Elf.
The annual Twilight Christmas Parade will roll Saturday, followed for the first time by a synchronized light show set to music. A video feature will cap the display.
“This year’s activities are the biggest we’ve had in years, and we can’t wait for the public to experience the amazing light show and the video incorporated into it. It’s a true testament of love and appreciation for those whose heart is in North Baldwin,” said Kristina Pittman, executive director of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, said in the release.
Saturday will also bring the return of the Annual Car Show hosted by the Bay Minette Cruise Club. The award presentation is set for 2 p.m.
