Kick off your golf season for a good cause with golfing fundraisers in the coming weeks.

The Gulf Shores Lions Club is hosting its 48th annual Max Wilson Memorial “Golf for Sight” Tournament at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club Friday, March 31.

Proceeds from the Lions Club’s largest fundraiser of the year will support the charities the group supports including the Miracle League of Coastal Alabama whose special needs playground is back on track for a summer opening after a series of setbacks.

The four-ball tournament will feature a blind draw to pair up two-player teams. You can enter your own twosome or individual players can be paired with other single golfers. Prizes will be available on every hole as well as for the top three players.

The noontime shotgun start will commence after registration opens at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31. For more information, call Kew Taybi (859-380-0781) or Bruce White (251-967-3323).
